KERNL.
One place every franchise location finds the current version of a document. Staff can ask it a question in plain English and get the answer with the page it came from. Built for the tablet behind the counter, not the marketing site.

Franchise operators have the same problem at every scale: a binder full of operating procedures that nobody reads, scattered across email, Drive, and a back-of-the-counter folder. Compliance gets done by memory. Onboarding takes weeks. The franchisor knows half the locations are out of date.
KERNL is the one place those documents live. People can search it, and so can a chat that has read every page.
KERNL is live and available on referral. Billing and the chat both run end to end.
Two things changed under it since this page first went up. Sign-in was rented and is now ours: the hosted auth vendor came out completely, replaced by a self-hosted layer with email and password, optional two-factor, and invite-only access, because a document system for franchise operators should not have its front door owned by a third party. Storage and the database moved too, onto object storage and Neon. Every one of those swaps happened on a live product without taking it down.
Still true, still next: a version a single location can sign up for on its own, without waiting for head office to upload the right document.
The booking and quoting software a carnival rental company runs its day on. It ended the from-scratch spreadsheet.
