The booking and quoting software MLC runs its day on. It ended the from-scratch spreadsheet: a quote that used to take an hour now takes a few minutes.
MLC rents carnival games and rides across Southern California. Every event started as a fresh spreadsheet: same fields, same math, typed again. The booking team lost hours a week to it, and each franchisee reselling locally had their own quote format. So we built BIGTOP.
BIGTOP runs the booking floor now. What used to take an hour a quote takes a few minutes.
It stopped being a quoting tool somewhere along the way. It invoices, tracks deposits and over-payments, carries the crew schedule and a close-out scorecard per event, holds the signed contractor agreements, and sends the day-of confirmation with the invoice attached. In August we added the page the office actually asked for, which answers one question and no others: when does the money hit the bank. It reads Stripe's payout and balance data live on each load, with no mirror table to drift.
Still open: when someone asks for a quote from one of the city pages, it should land in BIGTOP already filled in.
