This is the county seat: government offices downtown, the courts, and around them a dense web of family-owned businesses, logistics yards, contract manufacturers, and storefront retail that has run on relationships for generations. None of that is going away. But the front door is shifting. A facilities manager now asks Claude which Santa Ana shop can fabricate a short run of custom parts on a tight deadline. A new resident near Floral Park asks ChatGPT for a tax preparer who handles small-business returns. Whoever the model names gets the meeting, and the rest never hear the phone ring.
Most local businesses are silent in those exchanges. Their sites were built to look acceptable on a phone and nothing more: no clean schema, no copy a model can lift, nothing that tells an assistant what the company does, who it serves, or why it should be trusted over the listing one row down. So the model improvises, or it leans on an aggregator nobody here controls. In a city built on word of mouth, the new mouth is automated, and being absent from it is a leak you can't see on any invoice.
You can't paste this in afterward. The structure that makes a site legible to a language model has to sit in the foundation (clean markup, real entities, primary sources, author signals), which is why every page here is built from the ground up rather than patched onto a theme.
