01 / Why this, here

Selling to a hospital means living inside their forms.

Orange holds two economies stacked on top of each other. The hospitals and the university sit on one side, with thousands of jobs and a purchasing process to match. Old Towne and the Circle sit on the other, where family restaurants, antique dealers and service businesses have held the same storefronts across generations. Plenty of the second group sells to the first.

Owners here assume a San Diego studio is out of range. The drive is about two hours, we make it most weeks, and a third of the work on our board sits north of the county line. What we find when we get here is a small company doing a large institution's paperwork: vendor portals, insurance and compliance packets, purchase orders that arrive in one format and get retyped into another, and invoices sitting sixty days while somebody chases a signature.

The Old Towne side has its own version of the same problem. Inventory is one of a kind, so nothing scales by product code, and every listing, price and description gets written by hand. The audit follows one real order or one real listing from start to money in the bank, counts the hours at each handoff, and prices the three to five fixes worth making.

02 / What you get

One document, and a decision you can make.

  • A walkthrough of how your business actually runs today, written down where anyone can read it.
  • Three to five places AI or software would pay for itself, ranked, each with the hours or dollars attached.
  • What each fix would cost to build, so you can stop at the document if the numbers do not work.
  • The places we tell you not to bother. Some work is cheaper left alone.
  • A 90-day order of operations, first thing first.
  • A live walkthrough of the findings, with your questions answered in plain English.
03 / What this looks like

Three shapes this takes in Orange. These are composites, not named clients.

A vendor that sells into the hospitals. Orders arrive through a purchasing portal, somebody retypes them into the company's own system, then retypes the invoice back into the portal at the end. The audit counts that double entry over a month and prices a connection between the two, against what the connection would save.

A specialty practice near the medical campuses. Referrals come in by fax, by email and by phone, and one front desk person moves each of them into the scheduling system while patients wait on hold. We measure the delay, then price an intake step against the appointments lost to it.

An Old Towne dealer with one of a kind stock. Every piece needs its own photos, description and price, so listing a truckload takes the better part of a week. The audit tests whether a drafting tool gets those descriptions eighty percent right, and prices the tool against the week it gives back.

04 / Honest scope

What we will and will not take on.

We take on established businesses with real operations, roughly five to fifty people, where the owner is close enough to the work to answer questions about how it moves. We need access to the staff doing the work, not one interview at the top of the org chart.

If you run the business alone or with one other person, you do not need us yet. Buy ChatGPT Plus, put a scheduler on your calendar and build one good template. That will carry you further this year than an audit will.

The audit is $1,500, fixed, and nothing obligates you to build afterward. Travel is included: Orange is about a two hour drive from the studio, and we do the interviews on site, because watching the work happen tells us more than a screen share ever does.

This page was drafted from a structured outline and hand-reviewed before launch. The work itself is custom, owner-operated, never templated.
